From January 2024 all children up to Year 6 have free lunches at school. About one in four secondary school children also have free lunches. But what about school holidays? We’re helping parents to give their children a meal at lunchtimes during the school holidays.
Government holiday support for children who have free school meals has now stopped. We know that this will leave many parents struggling to provide for their children during the school holidays.
Llangollen Food Share is making sure that no child goes hungry during the school holidays by giving out free lunch packs. You can pick up packs for your children from our centre from 9am-11am on Monday morning during school holidays. To help us prepare, please contact us beforehand to tell us how many children you have so that we can order sufficient supplies. Each pack will contain enough food for weekday lunches for your children. Please call, text or Whatsapp: 07538 894 449, Facebook:/Llangollenfoodshare/, email hello@llangollenfoodshare.org.uk
Where are we? At the Castle Street end of the main Market Street Car Park in Llangollen.
If you are unable to get to our centre – give us a call. In some circumstances our volunteers may be able to deliver to your door.
Please support us by giving a donation.
